CONVERGE: Concert Cancellations Explained

November 27, 2006

Salem, Massachusetts-based ahrdcore/metal band CONVERGE has issued the following update:

"After driving overnight to Poughkeepsie from Baltimore (and almost hitting hundreds of deer in the process...),we got word that 'Rhythmden' festival has been cancelled due to 'insurance' issues. Thanks to SUBZERO and ON BROKEN WINGS for getting the word out to us and other bands. We hope to be back in the Poughkeepsie NY area sometime in 2K7.

"While we were typing the above information, Jake [vocalist Jacob Bannon] received a call about a death in his immediate family. So he can attend the funeral and be home to support his family, we are canceling Philadelphia and New York City shows of the tour. The shows in Buffalo, Cleveland, Levittown, and Revere shows will go on as planned as he will be able to make those shows.

"Apologies to all the bands, kids, and promoters who are affected by the cancellations. We will make it up one day."

Remaining CONVERGE shows:

Nov. 27 - Buffalo, NY @ Showplace Theatre
Nov. 28 - Cleveland, OH @ Peabodys
Dec. 02 - Levittown, NY @ Ritual
Dec. 03 - Revere, MA @ Club Lido

CONVERGE's latest album, "No Heroes", was released in October via Epitaph Records.
